Honorable mention at Smart Industry 2023

Åkerströms was nominated during the autumn as one of five finalists in the Smart Industry business competition organized by the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, IVA. Åkerströms was awarded an honourable mention for its long tradition of digitization, innovation and sustainability. The justification reads:

“Åkerströms Björbo AB is awarded an honorable mention in the 2023 Smart Industry business competition for its long tradition of digitization, always based on the customer’s needs and with more efficient resource utilization and a reduced climate footprint as guiding stars. Åkerströms Björbo uses digital assets and advanced technology to constantly renew its offer and the creation of value for customers, while the company has gone through extensive journeys of change internally. Åkerströms Björbo’s development shows that it is possible to conduct competitive operations even far outside the traditional industrial regions, which gives clear encouragement to other Swedish entrepreneurs.”
