Åkerströms and EAB in Strategic Partnership
– Developing the Next-Generation Radio Control System for Radioshuttle™
Åkerströms Björbo AB and EAB AB have signed a long-term collaboration agreement to develop a new, customer-specific radio control system for EAB’s next-generation Radioshuttle™. Through this partnership, high performance and innovation will continue to be ensured in one of the world’s leading solutions for efficient warehouse automation.
EAB’s Radioshuttle™ is a semi-automated pallet handling system used worldwide to optimize warehouse management. With over 200,000 pallets in motion globally, the system has become the preferred solution for companies seeking to maximize storage space and efficiency.
The new radio control system, which Åkerströms is developing specifically for EAB and Radioshuttle™, will provide an even more reliable and user-friendly solution for the future of warehouse automation. Development will start in Q2 2025 and is expected to take 12–15 months.
A Natural Progression of a Long-Term Partnership
Åkerströms and EAB have been working together for over 30 years, and this agreement is a natural step forward in the long-term relationship between the companies.
